Hey everyone! I’ve spent the last 2 years of my life exploring the art of baking and it has quickly become one of my favorite hobbies. I hope to bring you guys a recipe each month that is dear to me and all the tips and tricks I’ve picked up on. With that all said, let's get started!
This month I’ll be teaching you how to make some simple Chocolate Chip cookies, these cookies are a personal favorite of mine and are the perfect start for all the aspiring bakers of the world.

Makes ~20 Cookies
The ingredients you’ll need:
2 ½ Cups of Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
¾ Teaspoon Salt
1 ½ Sticks of Butter (Preferably room temperature, but most of the time I lightly microwave the butter to speed up the process)
¾ Cups of Sugar
¾ Cups of Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 ½ teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
1 ½ Cups of Chocolate Chips (I’m a firm believer in letting your heart decide how many chocolate chips you add but I’ve found this to be a good benchmark if you’re unsure)
Tools You’ll Need:
1 Cup Measuring Cup
½ Cup Measuring Cup
¼ Cup Measuring Cup
Teaspoon measurer
Cookie Scoop
Spatula
Stand Mixer or Big Bowl and Whisk (I understand an electric mixer isn’t always common to have so a regular whisk works just as well, just be sure to mix everything you’ll end up having much stronger arms than me!)
Sheet Pan
Directions:
Beat the butter on medium speed until creamy
Add the granulated and brown sugars together and beat on medium speed until light and fluffy, make sure to mix in an excess butter that may have stuck to the bottom of the bowl
Scrape down the sides of the bowl with the spatula add the eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt and mix at slow speed until just combined
Add the chocolate chips and mix into the batter at a slow speed
Take your cookie scoop and place 8 cookies on each sheet pan (can be more or less depending on the size of your sheet pans)
Bake for 10-11 minutes
When finished, let the cookies cool completely before being taken off the pan
When pulled from the oven, the cookies will look puffed but will slowly deflate while cooling
Enjoy your hard work and effort!
