Hello everyone! I’ve spent the last 2 years of my life exploring the art of baking and it has quickly become one of my favorite hobbies. I hope to bring you guys a recipe each month that is dear to me and all the tips and tricks I’ve picked up on. With that all said, let's get started!
This month, to celebrate the holiday season, we will be baking a holiday favorite of mine: eggnog cookies! These cookies are a savory bunch that gets me right into the holiday season.

Makes ~18 Cookies Photo Credit: Noah Meyer
The Ingredients You’ll Need:
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature (Preferably at room temperature, but most of the time I lightly microwave the butter to speed up the process)
1 cup granulated sugar
2 egg yolks
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup eggnog
Tools You’ll Need:
1 Cup measuring cup
½ Cup measuring cup
¼ Cup measuring cup
Teaspoon measurer
Cookie Scoop
Spatula
Stand mixer or big bowl and whisk (I understand an electric mixer isn’t always common to have so a regular whisk works just as well, just be sure to mix everything, and you’ll end up having much stronger arms than me!)
Sheet Pan
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Cream the butter and sugar on high speed until light and fluffy
Add the eggnog and vanilla extract, then while mixing on medium add an egg yolk one at a time then scrape the bowl down and mix one more time
Add the flour, baking powder, salt, ground nutmeg, and ground cinnamon and mix on low speed until just combined
Use cookies scoop to form dough into small-medium sized balls
Place dough balls on sheet pan
Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the center appears dry
Enjoy your hard work and effort!
