Fight The Winter Blues By Making This DIY Jellyfish

Updated: Jan 4

Are you bored and want to get up and do something? Here is a fun craft you can do in your free time: a paper bowl jellyfish. They are cute decorations for those empty places that need to be decorated or to give as a gift to someone.

Materials needed:

  • Paper bowl

  • Tissue paper (or a plastic bag)

  • Paint and paintbrush

  • Scissors

  • Glue (preferably liquid glue)

  • Pencil

  • String

  • Paper clip or cotton

  • Googly eye (optional)

First, you are going to punch a whole into your paper bowl using your pencil.

Second, paint the bowl with any color you want. Make sure it is an even coat of paint to help it dry.

Third, decorate the bowl with other colors of paint. You can add dots or stripes. Keep in mind to add an even coat of paint and if you make stripes do them from the center to keep it uniform

Fourth, you are going to prepare your string by tying the paper clip to the end. Make sure it is secured tightly!

Next, put your string into the hole in your paper bowl by putting the free ed through at the bottom to where your paper clip is on the inside. If you want to secure it more feel free to secure it with a button.

Next, you want to make strips of your tissue paper, do not worry if they are not straight cuts!

Then, you are going to glue in your paper strips. Remember a little goes a long way when it comes to glue!

Last, but not least, look at the masterpiece you have created! At this time you can add a face by using a crayon or marker! You can make a lot more to where you can have a whole smack of jellyfish!
