Keiko: Some very popular artists dropped new music this month. Whether it was a single or an album we were blessed with, here's the rundown of these artists.
My personal favorite album this month was ORQUIDEAS by Kali Uchis dropped on January 12th. Kali ranked with first No. 1 on album sales, No. 1 on top Latin albums, No. 1 on vinyl album sales, and No. 2 on Billboard 200. Kali Uchis is setting records! Currently, her album sits at top 14 on Billboard 200 and her top song “Igual Que Un Angel (with Peso Pluma)" sits at 22 on Billboard Top 100. Needless to say, Ms. Uchis gave the people what they needed!
21 Savage dropped an album titled American Dream. Released January 12th, 21 Savage currently holds No.1 on Billboard 200, as well as No. 5 top artist. His most popular song “Redrum” is at No. 10 on Billboard 100. All 14 songs on the album entered the Billboard 100. 21 Savage is the 16th artist to have 100 or more songs entered on the charts. He has definitely made history this month!
Moving on to hit singles this month we have “Yes, and?” by Ariana Grande. Released on January 18th the single debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 100 but dropped to No. 6.
Megan thee Stallion dropped a diss track called “Hiss.” The song peaked at No. 32 on the Billboard 100. Fans believe the song is talking about Tory Lanez, Drake, and Nicki Minaj, which has started a heated argument between the self-proclaimed “queen of rap” Nicki Minaj. In response to Megan's song, Nicki dropped “Bigfoot” which has not entered on the Billboard 100.
January has been a great month for the music industry. Lots of amazing songs dropped that will definitely be on repeat.
